A beautiful 2016 Novo just landed at the shop - a rare sight indeed! Built back in the Pennsylvania days before Dennis & co moved down to Nashville, this is an excellent example of the early magic of Novo Guitars! The design has evolved since those days, guitars from this era have a mojo and vibe all their own. The finish is well worn but has a different sheen to it - compared to the current models it has a bit more of a gloss appearance. This one also has a control plate that matches the pickguard- an option discontinued a few years later. This era also had a heel-adjust truss rod and 21 frets.
The neck feels immediately comfortable and the binding, blocks, and deep color rosewood looks great as well. Classic Novo feel! Loaded with Amalfitano pickups, this guitar sounds absolutely incredible and has a great balanced voice. These early Novo models don't show up very often, so feel free to email or call us with any questions about this guitar.
