Novo Guitars Miris
The Miris is Novo's semi-hollow offset, and it is our favorite current model from Novo Guitars. Designed by Dennis Fano and built in Nashville, TN, the Miris takes the classic offset platform and adds a swamp ash body with Novo's cat's eye f-hole. Paired with a tempered maple neck, the semi-hollow construction makes for a guitar that is remarkably resonant. We tend to spec our Miris models with the same medium C neck, compound 9.5 to 14 inch radius, and 25.5 inch scale as the Serus, so the guitar feels familiar from the moment you pick it up.
The Miris range is where Novo gets to stretch out. The Miris J typicallys pairs P-90s with a Mastery bridge and tremolo for a punchy, vintage-leaning feel that plays modern. The Miris H2 takes a different route, with humbucker or filtertron style pickups, and a tune-o-matic and stoptail bridge. Pickups, finishes, and hardware can vary from guitar to guitar, so each listing spells out the exact spec.
Every Miris we carry is spec'd out by Zach and Matthew. No one knows Novo like we do. If you want something specific, custom ordering is available, and the full Novo Guitars collection covers the rest of the line. A semi-hollow P-90 guitar also sits well with a Dr. Z amp, and you are most of the way to a complete rig.
